Hi everyone!
I just talked to Dr. Parlo through email about how my DreamWeaver 30 day free trial application is about to expire. I was wondering how we were going to be able to work on our e-portfolios throughout next year. She said that almost all the computers on campus have it or we can check out laptops from the 2nd floor of War Memorial Hall.
She also said there are some free ones floating around that people have been using and to ask my fellow classmates on the blog if anyone has one they can pass along. If someone does, can they please let me (all of us!) know!
Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the heads up.. I will be finishing up my portfolio soon so i can graduate in december.. I was wondering how I was going to finish this up.. :)
ReplyDeleteI am using Google Sites for mine...it is free but you can't be as creative with the design. I'm not on campus so am still trying to work this out.
ReplyDeleteHey Alex, Matt mentioned today in Mrs. Parrish's class that there was a free trial going around. If you remember tomorrow will you get my attention please and we can ask him? Thanks for the heads up!!

Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYeah, we can ask him tomorrow since he did not come to class today haha. Hopefully he will know of one. If not, Jess and I were talking about possibly signing up for the free trial multiple times using our parents and siblings email addresses. This may not be "right", but it will help us get the job done from our own computers next year! Also, I am not sure how much the program is, but if it can be loaded on multiple computers we were thinking about seeing who all would want to split the cost of buying it since there are so many science ed people this year. Just an idea, let me know! See you tomorrow in class!
Alex,
ReplyDeleteThat's a smart idea using multiple email addresses. I am not on campus right now so I may have to use that idea until I get back to VT in the fall.
Thanks for the advice!
If we do use a computer at school, I'm just unsure how to transfer our materials to upload them! Would we just use a flash drive? Do the school computers also have Webdrive to upload our materials to filebox? Hmmm...
