Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is having a better day than I am today! haha
I find it ironic that I did not have a good story to share when we were asked about backing up information to share a story on the blog. However, this morning when I woke up my computer crashed. I spent hours on the phone with VT 4 HELP trying to recover files off of my computer. Luckily, in the end I have been able to retrieve almost all of my information/school work/pictures/music and it is now backed up on my roommates computer as well as a flashdrive. I just wanted to remind everyone to back up their work (especially the eportfolio which I was freaking out about the most! as well as my personal pictures!)!! It can happen to anyone at any time, any day. And today has been the day from hell haha so try and avoid that at all cost!! :)
I hope everyone has a good rest of their night!

Oh no Alex! I'm so sorry. I was wondering about how to back up the E-portfolio. Is it saved on file box so you can download everything again? If not, how did you back your files up?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I know how you are feeling- been there done that! I too have learned the hard way! I hope it all works out and hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHi Jess!
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe the filebox saves all the information on the VT filebox. But I saved my whole web folder on a flashdrive so that I can upload it if need be. But I think worst came to worst you could retrieve it off the VT filebox!
Good Luck with your lesson tomorrow!
I hope you recovered all those files. Been there and done that ;) I learned that lesson the hard way as well..
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your computer! Mine has been running really slow recently and I am freaking out myself that one day its just not going to turn on. Because of this, anything I write I save a copy of on my flash drive or external hard drive.
ReplyDeleteI have my website saved on filebox but I also have each individual page saved on a flash drive so in case my computer crashes I can open and edit the eportfolio pages on another computer.
