One other thing I forgot to ask on my recent post was ... was anyone else having trouble posting to the wiki while other people were posting to the same wiki at the same time? I am so sorry if I kicked anyone off while I was trying to post, but I kept seeing this message saying the post was locked because someone else was editing it. Is there anyway around that because I kept loosing my work? Hope no one else is having that problem!!

That just happened to me too! I am guessing that two people can't post something at the same time. I waited patiently, but then the person was on there for 10 minutes without typing so I unlocked the security and was then able to type. In other words, I think I kicked that person off... Sorry to whomever I did that to :)
ReplyDeleteHi! Yeah this happened to me too. Try and have all your info ready before you get on to type on the wiki, that way no one is on for too long without uploading information. This should help everyone keep it short and sweet, without being kicked off while researching. :)
ReplyDeleteI kept losing my work to! I got kicked off multiple times because I think several people were trying to edit the same page at the same time. People kept stealing the lock from one another last night. I am awfully sorry about the lock stealing. I did it a couple times and then I felt horrible about it because I know if I kept losing my work other people must be too.
ReplyDeleteI ended up typing everything up in a word document and then copy and pasting everything into the wikipage when it became available again. That way I wouldnt be on the page as long.
It worries me that people can lose their work like that... I wonder if any settings could be changed on wiki so multiple people could work at the same time.

Yeah taht was a real pain when someone else was working at the same time. They need to come up with something better that will tolerate more than one person at a time!

ReplyDeleteI never really understood the lock thing! I stole it once, so I'm sorry if it messed anyone up. I'm confused though because I had the lock stolen from me, but my work was not lost, I was just unable to save anything.
